The 8th Annual VACMS (Virginia Council of Mathematics Specialists) Conference begins Friday, October 4, 2019 with check-in at 7:30 AM at University of Mary Washington, Stafford Campus, 121 University Boulevard, Fredericksburg, VA 22406. Welcome and keynote address by John Almarode begins at 8:30, followed by morning and afternoon breakout sessions. All sessions end at 4:15.
The theme for the conference is Coaching: Purposeful Planning for Visible Impact

Coaching for Effective Teaching: Enhance instruction with research informed teaching practices.

Enhancing Math Leaders' Skills: Work with adults, facilitate PLCs and grade level meetings, evaluate curriculum materials and technology resources, and the transition to the role of a mathematics specialist.
Conference Registration Fee: $100.00
Conference registration fees include the conference, and lunch. All conference attendees will receive a 25% discount and free shipping for Johns' books via a Corwin Publishing coupon.
Registration to the conference will be limited to the first 225 registrants.
A cancellation fee of $10 will be charged for registrants who cancel their registration prior to September 20, 2019.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED for registrants who cancel registration after September 20, 2019.
Registrations are not confirmed until registration fees are paid. All payments must be received by September 20, 2019. After that date, all unpaid registrations will be cancelled so that those on the waitlist can be contacted for attendance.
